OUR BEGINNING
A Story That Didn't Begin with Chocolate
The story of Dragon King Chocolate began around 20 years ago, when our family was in the business of exporting dried flowers and decorative products. One of the products that first introduced us to cacao was the dried cacao pod.
From this small beginning, we gradually came to see cacao as more than just a product. We became interested in everything behind it — from the cacao tree and the quality of the beans to post-harvest processes and the farmers at the very beginning of the journey.

Great Chocolate Begins Before the Factory
We believe that the quality of chocolate is not created only during production. It begins with the cacao tree itself.
Cultivation, care, harvesting, fermentation, and drying all influence the quality and flavor of the cacao that eventually becomes chocolate.
That is why Dragon King Chocolate places great importance on working at the source and building long-term relationships with cacao farmers.

From Cacao Trees to Quality Beans
01 Seedlings
We support farmers with cacao seedlings and provide guidance on how to begin cultivating cacao.
02 Cultivation & Care
We share knowledge about cultivation, tree care, and cacao farm management.
03 Ongoing Support
We visit farms and provide guidance to farmers throughout the different stages of cacao cultivation.
04 Post-Harvest
We share knowledge about fermentation and post-harvest handling — essential steps in developing high-quality cacao.
05 A Market for the Harvest
We provide a purchasing channel that connects farmers' cacao harvests with our chocolate-making process.
OUR FARM NETWORK
Our Farmer Network
Today, Dragon King Chocolate's network includes approximately 50 farms, comprising both farms whose cacao we purchase and farms where we have provided knowledge and support.
In Thailand, our network extends across several regions, from the North and Northeast to the East. We also work and exchange knowledge with farmer networks in neighboring Laos and Myanmar.

From Cacao Knowledge
to Chocolate of Our Own
As we became more deeply involved with cacao — from the raw material and the farmers to post-harvest processes — a new question emerged: How could we turn this knowledge and these ingredients into products of our own?
That question became one of the starting points of Dragon King Chocolate.
From cacao that begins its journey on the farm, we take the beans through our chocolate-making process in Chiang Mai and transform them into chocolate in the Dragon King way.
From Thai Cacao to Chocolate Crafted in Chiang Mai
The cacao used in Dragon King Chocolate products is sourced 100% from Thailand.
Once the dried cacao beans arrive at our facility, the next stages take place in Chiang Mai — from roasting and winnowing to grinding, chocolate making, tempering, and moulding — before becoming finished Dragon King Chocolate products.

Intense, the Dragon King Way
Our 85% dark chocolate is one of the signatures of Dragon King Chocolate, chosen to preserve the distinctive character and intensity of cacao.
For us, however, dark chocolate does not have to offer just one kind of experience. We pair its intensity with different flavors and textures — from fruits and nuts to fruit jellies — creating new ways to experience dark chocolate.
